Embeds
Embeds control how Formify's Discord messages look: colors, titles, descriptions, images, and footers.
You edit embeds in the dashboard. The bot sends them when you publish or when certain actions happen (approve, deny, ticket open, etc.).
Where to find embed editors
Form embed sections
For forms, you can usually customize:
- Open Form — the public message with the open button
- Submission Output — what staff see when someone submits
- Ticket Open Header — header when a ticket is created from the form
- Approval / Denial / DM Response — messages tied to moderator actions
Each section has its own fields. Not every field appears on every message type — stick to title, description, color, and footer unless you need images.
Ticket embed sections
Ticket templates have more sections because the lifecycle is longer:
- Published button message
- Ticket opened, claimed, unclaimed
- Close request, denied close, closed
- Transcript message
Open the embed editor and pick the section from the list on the left (or tabs, depending on your screen size).
When to republish
If you edit an embed and the live Discord post looks unchanged, publish again from the manage menu.
Images and attachments
- Form questions do not support inline images in the modal itself.
- You can allow file attachments on questions so members upload a file with their answer (configure on the question in the form editor).
- Embed images and thumbnails use URLs you enter in the embed editor.
Components V2 / open button
Some forms support an updated open-form layout (Components V2). If your form editor shows that option, turning it on changes how the open button and layout render in Discord. Publish after toggling it.
