FAQ
Short answers to common questions. For step-by-step fixes, see Troubleshooting.
Setup and dashboard
Why isn't my server on the dashboard?
You need Manage Server on that guild, and Formify must be in the server. If you just invited the bot, refresh the dashboard. If it still missing, run /register in Discord and try again.
Do I need the dashboard or can I use Discord only?
You can create simple forms with /create and manage panels with /panel. The dashboard is required for full embed editing, ticket templates, marketplace installs, submission logs, CSV export, and bot profile.
Does saving a form post it to Discord?
No. You must Publish (dashboard) or use /resend after the form has been published at least once.
Forms and submissions
Can I put images inside form questions?
Not as part of the question text itself. You can allow file attachments on a question so members upload an image or document with their answer. Embed images (thumbnail, banner on the open-form message) are set in the embed editor.
Why can't someone submit again?
Check if Only submit once is enabled on the form. Staff with Manage Server can run /resetuser to clear that user's submission.
Why don't Approve/Deny buttons work?
The clicker needs a mod role on that form or Manage Server. Also check that the submission still exists — /clearsubmissions removes the data those buttons rely on.
Where did submissions go?
Check the form's Output channel (or thread/forum/ticket setting). Also open Submission Logs in the dashboard — everything should appear there even if the Discord message was deleted.
Permissions and posting
Formify isn't posting to my channel
Formify needs View Channel and Send Messages in that channel. See Permissions.
Formify can't assign roles on approve
Formify needs Manage Roles, and its role must be above the roles you assign. Channel permissions do not fix role hierarchy problems.
Should Formify's role be at the top?
It should be above any role it needs to assign. It does not need to be the highest role on the server unless you use unusual deny overrides on lower roles.
Tickets
What's the difference between Tickets and Ticket Logs?
Tickets in the sidebar are templates you publish. Ticket Logs are the support channels that were opened from those templates (or from forms).
Why can't a member see their ticket channel?
They may have left the server and rejoined, or overwrites may exclude them. Staff can /ticket add to put them back. Check the template's support roles and category permissions.
Bot profile
Why did bot profile save fail?
Usually missing Change Nickname permission. Less often, Discord rejects avatar/banner uploads that are too large or the wrong format.
